Verb worksheets can be used in several different ways to help you with your homeschooling.

You can use them as quick reviews or to supplement your homeschool curriculum.

If you're really in a bind, you can save money and use these free teacher worksheets in place of a grammar curriculum.

Before you do that, be sure and check with a scope and sequence reference book so you can be sure of what your child should be doing in grammar for her grade and age level. Then use the free teacher worksheets on this site and others to compile a complete grammar curriculum for your child.

Verb worksheets

Once your child has a basic understanding of each part of speech, you could also play grammar games with her to reinforce the concepts. Remember, learning doesn't always mean sitting at a desk (or table :)) and doing written work.

Action Verbs - These worksheets introduce verbs as word that show action. The child underlines the verb in the sentences.

Compound Verbs - These worksheets teach that a compound verb is two or more verbs joined with the conjunctions and, or, or but.

Nouns and Verbs - These worksheets help the child learn the difference between nouns and verbs.
