Spelling Baseball - Elementary Spelling Games

You can play spelling baseball in the living room, outside in the yard, and even while sitting in a doctor's office waiting to be seen.
We play by setting up bases. The kids each choose a team name, and you "hit the ball" and "run the bases" by spelling your words correctly.
This allows the kids to get up, move around, and stretch those muscles in the middle of the school day.
When I want to take it on the road, it is easy to use a piece of paper and an action figure for each child to play while sitting in a waiting room.
Hint--in our family, if you get every word correct in spelling baseball, you get to move on to the next list. My boys love this!
