Alphabet Flashcards

Use with Alphabet Activities and Preschool Curriculum Ideas

Use these alphabet flashcards to begin your child in reading. Together with the alphabet activities and preschool curriculum ideas, you can give your child a good start toward learning to read.

Your first step is to print off the:

Lower Case Flashcards

and the

Upper Case Flashcards onto card stock.

Now you need to begin teaching your child the sounds of these letters.

DO NOT start out teaching your child that "a" is the "letter a".

Instead, teach him that "a" says "ah"; "b" says "buh".

When it comes to the vowels, teach the short vowel sounds first.

We have alphabet activities and preschool curriculum ideas in the game section. Feel free to use these free ideas to teach your child the sounds of his letters.

Have fun!
